Well, I'm baaaack! (and better than ever... well, not really, just back...)

In short... the day's events (drumroll please...)

1) Watched 24 season 5... crazy ridiculous. How many times are they going to try to take custody of Jack Bauer? Do they not realize that he will escape EVERY time and go on to save the day? Sheesh! I should have been a tv writer...


2) The BIG story for the day.... there is a thief at work who has absconded with one of my most prized possessions at work... no, not the JETS semi-truck replica that sits at my desk... and yes, I proudly own one of them...

No, not even my "flow-y" pens that I love so much... the prized "G2" by Pilot...

But yes, my...DC, my beloved crack, my addiction of choice... my Diet Coke. And not just a can... oh no, said thief stole 11 out of 12 cans right from my desk! No, they were not nice and left me the last one (which would have been considerate and not nearly the party foul they ended up committing....) No, they stole ALL that I had since I had just opened and drank 1 out of the pack on Friday.... the. nerve!
3) Took a trip to Ritas for yummy Gelati/Icee... if you've never been you really MUST try.
4) Cooked drunken goat chicken and pasta for dinner (stuffed chicken with prosciutto, asiago, and basil and pan friend it over pasta with shiraz/merlot reduced goat cheese sauce....) mmmm!
5) This one for my 2 gals from NY... Carissa and Christina.... no one else will probably get this... but in case you were wondering. TruGreen is now encouraging everyone (along with the bandwagon).... to go Green.... yes folks, even the good people over at the lawn CHEMICAL service are telling you to go green... and buy their CHEMICALS to make your lawn appear much greener than it really is... but really people, the main idea is simple... GO. GREEN. :-)

welcome back 1995

So I went to get a haircut tonight... little premise to the story: I've been thinking for awhile of something to do with my hair... Susan, at work, got her hair cut and I really liked it.. but it was too short for me... we talked about her haircut and I decided that I wanted a long bob type cut....

Fast forward to tonight... went to go get my haircut, told her that I wanted a) it to still be able to be put up b)not too short so my hair doesn't get all curly, and c) flatironed so I could go out after I left without having to go home first.....

See pics below.... suffice it to say, NONE of the above came true. The girl cutting my hair said yes and ok and went to work... asked 1 question: do you want layers? yes? ok. Then she moved on and went to cut off more than 5 inches off of the bottom! Ouch.... halfway through she was still cutting and cutting.... the girl cutting hair next to my girl stepped over and asked, "is this what you were thinking it was going to come out as?"

Uh... no...

So my girl apologizes and asks the other girl for help... she proceeds to make the cut even and then starts to curl my hair with the blowdrier....not exactly helpful.

Long story made short, they gave me my haircut for free....good thing hair grows back!



Yeah...nothing "long" about it... it's a bob...had it in 8th grade and then again sophomore/junior year in highschool....
yep... welcome back 1995...

You know what really stinks.... The fact that my wife set up a photo blog so that we could share pictures of how our days apart were going. So this morning I sit down and try to upload some photos from the internet to give her an idea of what I am doing and of course I can't get any of them to upload. So imagine if you will a picture of me eating a bowl of cereal in my pajamas; me grilling chicken in my pajamas ; me getting mad and threatening to throw the stupid computer because it won't cooperate (in my pajamas). There seems to be a theme here.
Hopefully tomorrow's attempt to post will go a little better. I really wish I had gotten a picture of Paige running up the stairs. That one would've gone into a hall of fame.

Sorry Guys - but maybe you're happy not to see pictures of me in my pj's.

Watched American Idol....
and on that note, HATED Adam's performance....but he got a standing ovation from Simon? I may be beginning to believe the hype that the top 5 is "fixed" by producers....
Played with Tobey and Bailey... those pups (aka mini horses) will do flips for a simple soccer ball
The GodfatherII xbox game came out.... heck yeah!! :-)

tomorrow night will be moving my grandparents into their new house so I may not get to do much more than that!

Well, Lee got me a new Nikkon camera for Christmas and I've been wanting to start a photoblog... but, like our regular blog, tv shows, puppies, dinner, and well, life gets in the way! Anyway, with Lee being a new police officer, he'll be gone a lot of nights so this is our attempt to share what we're up to, when we get to hang out and when we're apart..... enjoy!
